Fire Risk Assessments &
Fire Safety Consultancy

Ensuring robust fire safety measures is a legal obligation under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and a critical part of safeguarding lives and property.

Fire Risk Assessments

Our assessments identify potential fire hazards, evaluate the fire safety measures already in place, and set out actionable recommendations to improve them. Every assessment is carried out by a competent fire risk assessor, and every report is structured so that the responsible person can see clearly what is urgent, what can be planned, and what needs ongoing monitoring. Written to support review by insurers, local authorities and fire and rescue services.

Fire Door Surveys

Fire resisting doorsets are a vital passive fire protection measure and are found in almost every building, protecting escape routes and areas of high fire risk. They are also subject to damage through misuse and general wear. Since January 2023, responsible persons for multi-occupied residential buildings over 11 metres must undertake quarterly checks of fire doors in common parts and annual checks of flat entrance doors. Our inspectors carry out a comprehensive, non-destructive survey and report on the condition of the entire doorset.

Compartmentation Surveys

Effective fire separation is what limits fire spread and protects escape routes long enough for occupants to get out. We evaluate the integrity of fire resisting barriers throughout your building, including the service penetrations and concealed voids where compartmentation most often fails in practice, and report on what needs remediation and in what order.

Sector specialisms

Each building type carries its own risk profile, its own legislation and its own practical constraints. These are the sectors we work in most.

HMO Fire Risk Assessments

Houses in multiple occupation carry a higher risk profile: shared facilities, high tenant turnover and varied occupant behaviour. We assess escape routes, detection, emergency lighting, fire doors and compartmentation, then grade every action so you know what is urgent and what can be planned. Written to stand up to local authority and housing officer inspection.

Residential Housing

Fire risk assessments for social and private residential blocks, covering common parts, compartmentation and the management arrangements behind them. Clear, prioritised reports that support both compliance and budgeting.

School Fire Safety

Assessments built around how a school actually operates: high occupancy, young occupants, varied building ages and out-of-hours use. Practical recommendations that work for site teams rather than sitting in a file.

Care Home Fire Safety

Premises where occupants cannot evacuate unaided need a different approach. We assess progressive horizontal evacuation, compartmentation and staffing arrangements, and give you recommendations that reflect the real dependency levels of your residents.

Construction Fire Safety

Construction Phase Fire Plans and construction fire risk assessments in line with PAS 9970-1:2026. We cover hot works, temporary electrical installations, site accommodation, waste accumulation and combustible materials, with plans designed to evolve alongside the programme.

Fire Safety Training

Fire safety awareness, fire warden and marshal training, practical extinguisher sessions, and tailored in-company courses. Delivered on site or online, and built to meet your duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
